All players have a duty to encourage and to maintain the highest standards of good sportsmanship, courtesy an fair play. Violations of the Code of Conduct include but are not limited to:
Abuse of Players, Balls, Racquet or Equipment:
- Players shall not intentionally, recklessly or violently, hit or throw a tennis ball, racquet or equipment with disregard of the consequences.
- Players shall not at any time physically, or verbally abuse any coach, opponent spectator or other person
- No form of harassment - physical, verbal, gestural or electronic - will be tolerated, either between players or by family members, coaches or other spectators
Obscenities:
- Players shall not use an audible obscenity (profacnity) uttered clearly and loudly enough to be heard or obecene gestures of any kind while on the courts
Unsportsmanlike Conduct:
Players shall at all times conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner and refrain from any misconduct by a player that is clearly abusive or detrimental to opponents, spectators and others.
This includes, but not restricted to:
- visible taunting, mocking or threatening an opponent
- loud shouting directed at an opponent after winning a point
- intentional bad line calls or retaliatory calls
- constant questioning of the opponent's line calls when clearly done to intimidate
- refusal to call the score or make audible out calls
- deliberate slow play or lack of effort
Violation of the Code of Conduct should be reported immediately to the Executive (
